Do you want to be part of a creative, exciting team who are on a mission to develop the way the cultural sector works and the people it works with? Arts Council England is recruiting for a Relationship Manager, Engagement and Audiences, to work from our North-West base in Manchester. We are looking for people who reflect the diversity of the country today, to help us develop the sector to make it more relevant to the people, communities, and places we serve.

As a Relationship Manager, Engagement and Audiences, you’ll have a focus on building empowering and enduring relationships with a portfolio of funded organisations and community partners and will play a key role in supporting the sector in the North to maintain its innovative approach to engagement, audience development, inclusion and relevance.

You will be able to demonstrate experience of working with a broad range of communities and an in-depth knowledge of engagement and audience development. A strong understanding of community development and the role of culture within communities would be an advantage.

You will be a confident communicator in a wide range of situations with excellent skills in collaboration, influencing and advocacy, able to work both independently and as part of a team. You’ll be comfortable working with data and taking an evidence-based approach to developing new initiatives.

You will also have a good understanding and appreciation of the cultural sector in England and of the current challenges and opportunities facing it, including the context for public and private sector partnership support.
