The Irish Institute of Music & Song (IIMS) invites applicants to join our team of Irish traditional music educators. We are seeking applicants who are passionate about the advancement of the traditional arts. Successful candidates will be at the forefront of the IIMS’s new traditional music access programme - ‘Pathway to the Well’ - bringing traditional music to new members of our community in school and community settings. The successful applicants will join a multi-disciplinary team of music educators at the IIMS.

We are seeking passionate music educators who:
1. are able to motivate and inspire children and young people about traditional music.
2. demonstrate an understanding of effective group performance music education pedagogy.
3. work effectively as an individual and as part of a team.
4. demonstrate a passion for high-quality performance music education and a commitment to their own continuing professional development.
5. feel passionately about access to traditional music education and growing diversity in this field.
6. demonstrate an excellent ability to teach in group settings.
