The Artist in the Community Scheme, funded by the Arts Council and managed by Create, offers grants to support collaborative projects between artists and communities of place or interest.

The scheme is open to artists in a variety of artforms, including architecture, circus, dance, film, literature, music, opera, theatre, visual arts, and traditional arts. Projects can take place in diverse social and community contexts such as arts and health, arts and disability, and arts and cultural diversity. The scheme aims to foster meaningful collaboration, with consultation between the artist and community to ensure group ownership of the project.
