Limerick Jazz is inviting applications for the Young Irish Jazz Musician competition 2024.

The competition is open to Irish musicians aged 16 to 23, and secondary school students can integrate their entries with their Junior Cycle and Senior Cycle music studies. Finalists will perform with a professional house band before a panel of judges and a live audience.

The winner will be invited to perform at the Limerick Jazz Festival and receive a bursary of €500 to support their career development through further study, performance, or recording.

The final will take place at the University Concert Hall, Limerick, on Sunday, 17 November 2024.
