Nationwide casting is open for young actors aged 16 to 25 for Sweeney Todd in Concert.

The performance, based on the music of Stephen Sondheim and book by Hugh Wheeler, will be produced in partnership with the National Symphony Orchestra, Irish Youth Musical Theatre, and the Royal Irish Academy of Music at the National Concert Hall.

Professional actors will perform the roles of Sweeney Todd and Mrs Lovett, while remaining parts will be cast via open auditions. Applicants must submit by Friday 21 February 2025. Auditions are scheduled to take place in March at the National Concert Hall.

Selected candidates will participate in a four-day rehearsal period in April, followed by three weeks of intensive training in July, culminating in the concert performance on Friday 25 July 2025.
