ChamberFest @Lost Lane—ChamberFest Dublin 2019
The Royal Irish Academy of Music is delighted to present the inaugural ChamberFest Dublin (Monday - Friday 13th December) helmed by RIAM Head of Strings and Chamber Music Sarah Sew.
The fortnight full of events—from public masterclasses to lunchtime and evening concerts in venues such as The Space Between, Lost Lane, the National Gallery, and the beautiful Georgian rooms of the Academy itself—will celebrate the sheer breadth and diversity of Chamber Music repertoire, with RIAM musicians performing a rich palette of works by composers from Bach to Beamish and everything in between.
This concert will feature:
Schnittke: Hymn II for Cello & Double Bass
Gorecki: String Quartet No 1
Bartók: 6 duos from 44 Duos for Two Violins Sz 98, arr. Shahab Coohe for Clarinet and Violin
Bartók: Romanian Folk Dances arr. for Violin, Clarinet and Guitar
De Falla: Four songs from Seven Popular Spanish Songs arr. for Violin, Clarinet and Guitar
Piazzolla: Café 1930 from Histoire du Tango for Clarinet and Guitar
Performers: Zoe Stedje (cello), Alex Felle (double bass), Shahab Coohe (violin), Tatyana Wearen (violin), Shirin Massai (viola), Peadar O Loinsigh (cello), Shayan Coohe (clarinet) and Jack Kennedy (guitar)
