
The Night Before Larry Got Stretched - 10th Birthday Weekend
Traditional singing session The Night Before Larry Got Stretched ('Larry', for short) celebrates its 10th birthday this September with a special weekend of events.
The monthly gathering, known for fostering young traditional singing talent and acting as an early meeting point for acts such as Lankum, Landless, Skipper's Alley, Ye Vagabonds and more, will mark its tenth year in existence with three special events. Beginning on Friday September 2nd, members of 'Larry will feature at An Góilín, Dublin's longest running traditional singing club, at the Teacher's Club on Parnell Square from 8pm - entry €3 on the door. On Saturday September 3rd, 'Larry will host its largest of the weekend's events with an 8pm concert in The Sugar Club with performances from the session's longstanding friends, supporters and original members incl. Ye Vagabonds, Landless, Daragh Lynch (Lankum), Naoise Mac Cathmhaoil, Jerry O'Reilly, Nellie Weldon and more - ticket link below. And on Sunday, September 4th, The Night Before Larry Got Stretched will hold its usual first-Sunday-of-the-month gathering at The Cobblestone from 8pm - free entry, first-come-first-served.
