Tutti Double Bass

Sunday, 19 March 2023, 11.00pm

We are currently recruiting for a Tutti Double Bass player to join the Ulster Orchestra. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside some of the most accomplished musicians and arts professionals in the business and contribute  to  Northern Ireland’s cultural scene.

In addition to orchestral work, you will have the opportunity to be involved in a range of non-platform activities, including diverse Learning and Community Engagement activities and chamber music playing, as well as creating and leading your own non-orchestral activity.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate musical excellence with the ability to play at a professional orchestral level and a commitment to delivering a high standard of work at all times. Ideally they will have experience of performing in symphony orchestras. However, we are committed to developing new talent and will also consider candidates who are in the early stages of their career and can clearly show potential to fulfil the role.

Further information on the job requirements, application and selection process along with benefits of working for the Orchestra, can be found in the recruitment pack which you can download from our careers page.

The Ulster Orchestra is committed to striving to be truly representative of all aspects of diversity and to offer a fully inclusive working environment. We are committed to equality of opportunity and welcome applications from all suitably qualified candidates, irrespective of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnership, race, religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation. The appointment will be made on merit with openness and transparency of process.
