The Concerts & Projects Director will provide leadership, strategic direction, and management for the Concerts and Out of Office teams and is responsible for the Orchestra’s diary as well as the smooth running of the performance operations.

You will play a key leadership role in the ongoing transformation of the organisation: managing the diary to maximise opportunity for earned income from engagement activity of all kinds whilst ensuring the highest operational standards which in turn enable the highest artistic standards to be achieved on stage. You will be entrepreneurial and sales-oriented with a well-established network of national and international contacts. You will lead on the development of new projects, as well as holding the long-established residency relationships.

As a member of the Exec team, you will report to the Chief Executive. You will work in close partnership with the Director of Artistic Planning, and also have close working relationships with other members of the Exec Team, President, Vice President and other members of the Philharmonia Orchestral Committee.

You will be a collaborative and inclusive leader who acts with integrity, and who can manage complex systems and personalities in line with Philharmonia’s vision, mission, and strategic aims.
