ReDiviDer Album Release Tour

ReDiviDer Album Release Tour

ReDiviDer represented Ireland earlier this year with an energetic performance at the 12 Points! festival in Dublin earlier this year, a yearly showcase of young European bands, facilitated by the IMC.

Dublin band ReDiviDer (above) launch their debut album next month, with five dates across Ireland that kick off immediately after performances at the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival.

Drummer and bandleader Matt Jacobson — the composer of all the music — will be accompanied by Colm O’Hara (trombone), Nick Roth (alto saxophone) and Derek White (electric bass) in this unusual combination of two horns and no harmonic instrument. All of the concerts come with support acts from different prominent groups each night.

The album and tour title, Never odd or eveN, is in keeping with the palindromic title of the band, and represents Jacobson’s attention to rhythmic combinations — last year the composer spent some time studying South Indian rhythms.
