Irish Composition Summer School Anniversary

The Irish Composition Summer School will celebrate its thirtieth year with a special event on 7 July.

The Irish Composition Summer School (ICSS), formerly , has taken place over one week annually for thirty years.

In recognition of its thirtieth anniversary, the ICSS will host a special event at the Irish Music Rights Organisation headquarters on Pembroke Row in Dublin, where past teachers, performers and students will gather to reflect on the school’s thirty years, and on the current state of Irish composition. The event begins at 10.30am, and will feature informal presentations and group discussions, concluding with a wine reception at approximately 2pm.

This year’s students and teachers, the latter of which include Martin O’Leary, Kevin O’Connell and guest Bent Sørensen, will be in attendance.
