Britten-Pears Foundation Seeks Research Intern

Ahead of the Britten centenary in 2013, the Britten-Pears Foundation is seeking to appoint a paid research intern on a three month contract.

Ahead of the Britten centenary in 2013, the Britten-Pears Foundation is seeking to appoint a paid research intern on a three-month contract. The intern will assist in the implementation of new information management systems designed to communicate information about the centenary widely, particularly through the centenary website (currently under design), and also to make up-to-date information about the copyright and royalty situation of Benjamin Britten’s music available in database form.

The fixed-term post would suit a ‘graduate wishing to gain experience in the fields of music publishing and website research’. The successful applicant will receive training in the use of contact management software Donor Strategy, and in the use of the royalties database. Applicants are reminded that the position would provide them with the opportunity to work with a mainstream music organisation, to develop their contacts with similar organisations around the world and to gain an introduction to a career in arts management and music publishing.

Closing date for applications is 21 October 2011. Further information for applicants on how to apply can be found at the Britten-Pears website:
