Twenty-One Speakers Announced for Music Summit at Web Summit

Speakers include Chris Kaskie from Pitchfork, Matthew Postgate from the BBC, and Paul Lamere of The Echo Nest and Spotify.

For the second year, Web Summit will host a one-day standalone Music Summit at the RDS in Dublin.

Taking place on Thursday 5 November, Music Summit will focus on five main areas: streaming, live performance, fan engagement, music management, and live experience.

Twenty-one of the thirty speakers have been announced, including Chris Kaskie, President of Pitchfork; Matthew Postgate, Chief Technology Officer of BBC Radio; Paul Lamere, Director of Developer Platform at The Echo Nest, which is a division of Spotify; Matthew Clayton, co-founder of Mixcloud; John Amato, Co-President of Guggenheim Media’s Entertainment Group, which publishes Billboard magazine; Cliff Chenfeld, CEO of the New York label Razor and Tie; and Hans-Holger Albrecht, CEO of Deezer.

Music Summit will also feature artist managers such as Tim Clark, Founding Partner of ie:music, which represents Robbie Williams; Brian Message of ATC Management, which manages The Staves and Kate Tempest; and Dave Chumbley from Primary Talent International, which represents Daft Punk and Imogen Heap.
