Celebrating the Life & Music of Ashbourne Musician Antóin MacGabhann

A new series of the award-winning programme Sé MoLaoch  onTG4 casts an eye on some of Irish traditional music’s heroes. This Sunday night’s programme looks at the life and career of the Ashbourne fiddle player and teacher Antóin Mac Gabhann.  Antóinis  knownas ‘the king of street music’ at the annualfleadhceoilnahÉireann.  He has had a huge influence on traditional music in thecountysince he moved there in the early 1970’s. Sunday night’s programme takes a look at his life and music with guests including the Mac Gabhann family, MacDara & Mícheál Ó Raghallaigh & Caitlín Nic Gabhann.
