ISSTA International Festival and Conference on Sound in the Arts, Science and Technology

ISSTA (Irish Sound, Science and Technology Association) is an organisation that brings together practitioners from the fields of music, art, sound, science and technology.

In 2016 we are coming to Northern Ireland for the first time, hosting our 6th international festival and conference in the city of Derry/Londonderry from Wed 7th to Fri 9th September.

We’ll have public events including sound installations, spatial/electroacoustic music concerts, electronic music gig nights and workshops and talks from leading international figures, many of whom are coming to Ireland for the first time.

ISSTA 2016 will take place at Ulster University, Magee campus and partner venues throughout the city of Derry, including many within its historic walled city centre.

    •    Inner City Trust: Craft Village and Garden of Reflection Gallery
    •    Visit Derry exhibition space
    •    Bennigan’s
    •    Echo Echo
    •    St Columb’s Cathedral

ISSTA Membership and Attendance

Professional: €70 (€40 registration + €30 ISSTA membership)
Postgraduate student: €50 (€30 registration + €20 ISSTA membership)
Undergraduate student or unwaged: €25 (€15 registration + €10 ISSTA membership)

Non–member and Single-day Fees

Days 1-3: €80 (All keynote talks + paper sessions + evening concerts + artworks tours + workshops)
Day 1 (Full day): €40 (Keynote 1 talk + paper sessions + evening concert + artworks tour)
Day 2 (Full day): €40 (Keynote 2 talk + paper sessions + evening concert + artworks tour)
Day 3 (Full day): €40 (workshops)

Discounted accommodation is also available on the university campus and buffet lunches are included in registration.
