The Contemporary Music Centre Salon Series 2016: Dublin Sound Lab
After a summer break, The Contemporary Music Centre continues its 2016 Salon Series with Dublin Sound Lab in the beautiful and recently renovated St Audoen’s Church.
Dublin Sound Lab is a contemporary music ensemble formed by Michael Quinn (organ) and Fergal Dowling (electronics), specialising in electronic and computer mediated concert performance. As well as presenting existing works, the duo initiate collaborations and use computer based techniques to explore relationships between compositional process and performance practice, and to create new and engaging concert experiences.
Their programme is an exciting mix of new electronic works incorporating organ by contemporary Irish composers.
