This June, Yamaha Music London has a great line up of gigs from bands and artists who’ve attracted music industry attention and are on the verge of breaking into the public’s consciousness.

 

Every gig is held in the basement of the Yamaha Music store and is completely free to get into. There’ll be free drinks and, after the performance, there will be the opportunity  to try and test out the instruments yourself.

As part of The Artist Sessions, June 9th sees Raff perform exclusively live in store at 6:00pm in Yamaha Music London’s Underground stage.

 

A truly multi-faceted singer/songwriter, Raff is as comfortable on stage with his 9-piece band, engaging audiences with his soaring, energetic soulful vocals, as he is belting on one of his many House releases which have taken his vocals from Norway to Ibiza and beyond.

 

This unsigned, independent artist has come far, having performed alongside the likes of Ed Sheeran, Plan B and Lily Allen in such prestigious venues as Ronnie Scott’s, Jazz Cafe and 100 Club as well as New York’s The Bitter End.

 

He’ll be performing tracks from his EP In My Eyes with his band as well as his renowned mashups that’ll leave a smile on your face!

 

With such amazing talent, providing live music all on fantastic Yamaha instruments, this free event is not to be missed!

Taking a break from touring the world, dbClifford will be performing songs from his new album

As part of The Artist Sessions, June 16th sees dbClifford perform exclusively live instore at 6:00pm in the Yamaha Music London store.

 

After two solo albums released worldwide, countless tours across North America, Japan and Europe, festivals alongside artists such as Amy Winehouse, The Roots, James Blunt and Herbie Hancock, multi-instrumentalist, singer and composer dbClifford performs a one off private showcase at Yamaha Music London to present some new songs from his upcoming third solo album as well as some of his older material. dbClifford will be accompanied by some of the best musicians in the UK.

Newly signed, Katy Hurt’s first single went to #2 in the iTunes Country Charts.

As part of The Artist Sessions, June 23rd sees Katy Hurt perform exclusively live instore at 6:00pm in the Yamaha Music London store.

 

Katy Hurt is one of Britain’s brightest young country singer-songwriters. Recently signed by Metropolis Music Publishing, Katy is a long-time Yamaha guitar player.

 

Her single Part Time Girlfriend released in November 2015 reached #2 in the UK iTunes Country Charts and #16 in the US Charts. Katy was nominated for 3 awards last year - Best Solo Performer Female GSMC, UK Newcomer of the Year (w21Music) and Horizon Act of Year (BCMA Awards).

 

Katy will be performing at various summer festivals such as CarFest North & South, Henley Festival, FSA, Buckle & Boots & Blackthorn Festival to name a few.

 

Along with her band, Katy will be performing in store songs from her back catalogue as well as some surprises.

A regular at London’s most famous Jazz clubs but also in hot demand from some of the UK’s biggest pop artists

As part of The Artist Sessions, June 23rd sees Louise Golbey perform exclusively live instore at 6:00pm in the Yamaha Music London store.

 

Louise Golbey is a London based Neo-Soul singer/songwriter with a solid reputation on the live music scene in London and beyond. Recently she has performed at Glastonbury and the Isle of Wight Festivals, recorded at Maida Vale studios, all whilst performing regularly at legendary venues such as Ronnie Scotts, The Hippodrome, The Jazz Cafe and Pizza Express Jazz Club in Soho.

 

Louise has supported and shared the stage with acclaimed artists including Ed Sheeran (he is also in one of her music videos), Paloma Faith, George Benson, Alexander O’Neal, Jarrod Lawson, Roberta Flack and most recently En Vogue at The Indigo2 to name a few.

 

At YML, Louise and her band will be performing songs from her album Novel which features a track with UK Soul Legend Omar, one with Mo Pleasure (Michael Jackson, Earth Wind and Fire) and one produced by Grammy award winning producer Aamir Yaqub (who worked on Rihanna’s Unapologetic album).
