Bealtaine Festival - The Dusk Chorus

Bealtaine Festival - The Dusk Chorus

Sunday, 27 May 2018, 8.00pm

The Dusk Chorus is a new event launching this year following the success of the nationwide Dawn Chorus. The Dusk chorus event to close the festival will take place in the Waterways Visitor Centre at Grand Canal Dock with the Forget-Me-Nots Choir and conductor Norah Walsh.

To support and celebrate the many Dawn Chorus events nationwide which take place every year, Age & Opportunity is delighted to join with the Association of Irish Choirs to commission a new work for 2018.

Composer Tom Lane is the recipient of this first Dawn Chorus commission and this new work, The Little Waves of Breffny, will feature in the Dusk chorus event alongside a fun-filled programme of music. This is an indoor and outdoor event. Please come prepared. Admission is free but places are limited.
