Radio & Music Operations covers a diverse range of studio-based programmes such as Chris Evans, In Tune and You & Yours; events including golf and tennis tournaments, concerts, comedy performance and opera as well as complex one-off events at home and abroad. Glastonbury, Royal Weddings, Jubilees, The Proms and the Olympics are some of the larger events that are delivered by staff from Operations.

The majority of the audio for the national BBC Radio stations is manipulated by Radio & Music Operations at various stages on its journey to air.

Radio & Music Operations provides experienced and talented staff, together with an extensive range of specialist studios, outside broadcast vehicles and broadcasting equipment for BBC Radio, TV, Sport and external clients.

Role Responsibility
As an Operations Co-ordinator, you will be the central point of contact for the planning, allocation and co-ordination of R&M Operations staff and facilities. You will also be responsible for the allocation of resources to meet the needs of production in the most efficient and cost effective way.  Your day to day duties will also include contributing to business decisions by working closely with Operations Managers, the Planning Manager and (where appropriate) Team leaders. You will also provide business reporting information as required

The Ideal Candidate
To be successful in this office-based role, you will have a strong interest in BBC Radio output.  You will need the ability to schedule staff and resources efficiently and accurately in accordance with BBC Conditions of Service and evolving production requirements. You will need excellent attention to detail and interpersonal skills and be able to use scheduling and business systems to a high standard.  You will ideally have experience of working within a service focused environment where achieving excellent service has proven essential to the business.
