Julie Fowlis & Zoë Conway with Éamon Doorley and John McIntyre

Thursday, 13 June 2019, 8.00pm

Acclaimed Scottish singer Julie Fowlis teams up with Irish fiddle player Zoë Conway to present an evening of traditional music and song that re-imagines the rich traditions of Gaelic poetry and song.

Both artists are renowned in their field and are at the top of their game in the world of traditional music and song; Zoë Conway is one of Ireland's most exciting fiddle players and Julie Fowlis is a multi-award winning Gaelic singer whose artistic output is deeply influenced by her early upbringing in the Outer Hebridean Island of North Ulst. She is best known for her songs featured in Pixar's Brave.

They will be joined on stage by bouziuki player Éamon Doorley and guitarist John McIntyre and will be performing songs and music from their critically acclaimed album Allt.

The most recent album from this foursome was hailed by The Irish Times as "truly one of the albums of the year".
