The Editorial Manager, Owned Platforms will help drive Spotify’s multimedia storytelling on For the Record and across corresponding channels. A member of the Global Communications team, s/he will be responsible for storymining, content development and amplification. Successful candidates will have a strong grasp of channel-specific strategy, demonstrated success in a fast-paced environment, as well as a global mindset.

What you’ll do:
– Help facilitate the editorial process, from ideation to publishing and amplification
– Maintain consistency in quality, voice, and tone of published pieces
– Manage global editorial calendar (both short and long lead) and analytics reporting (monthly and quarterly)
– Ensure timely coordination and execution of content deliverables for relevancy
– Partner closely with Comms Teams members and various key stakeholders across the company
– Seek out the latest trends in culture and storytelling to ensure we’re putting forth the most compelling stories in the most engaging way
– Manage agency relationships and regular standing meetings
– Exemplify Spotify’s mission and values in daily work
– Ensure ecosystem is consistently populated with relevant, dynamic and strategic content that reflects Spotify’s global reach and integrates strategic priorities of the business.
– Manage a timely, yet quality-driven process that considers the pace of the work and landscape
– Help Owned Channels team consistently meet monthly KPIs and, ultimately, 2019 goals

Who you are / What you have:
– 5-7+ years relevant communications with direct experience working in Consumer PR, digital, media, entertainment and music industry PR, or in the tech industry
– Strategic thinker with the ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment; public company preferable
– Proven ability to develop and execute strategic PR campaigns
– Solid media contacts and relationships in entertainment, music and tech community
– Well-versed in narrative, storytelling, communications channels and writing for a variety of audiences
– Motivated self-starter with hands-on attitude
– Team player who thinks and acts globally, even when directly dealing with local challenges
– Ability to multitask and work in a hectic and extremely fast-moving industry and the environment without sacrificing attention to detail
– Ability to work across all levels, no task is too big or too small
– Ability to effectively manage and professionally develop team members across the region
– Strong project management and agency management skills
– Excellent organizational skills
– Ability to travel internationally
