Work Experience with BBC Music Television – The Proms 2017

The BBC is offering work experience opportunities in London within television.

Each placement is different, but your work experience will give you a good all round overview ofproduction. You could be helping with research, learning how astudiooperates, and working on outside broadcasts and in a live studio. You may get the chance to watch programmes go out on air and understand the processes for commissioning, producing, scheduling and broadcasting. 

Music Television – The Proms 2017 (2 week placements - over 18)
Placements are available on BBC Proms 2017 television coverage and Proms Extra, the accompanying weekly magazine programme. Proms is produced by BBC Music Television which is also responsible for Glastonbury, Later with Jools Holland and other classical and rock/pop performances as well as a significant body of documentary output.

The successful candidates will gain an insight into producing a large-scale music event for TV. They will also have hands-on experience of location filming and the TV outside broadcast. The BBC is looking for candidates who are highly motivated, enthusiastic team-players, with a demonstrable interest in television production and/or classical music.
