Music at St. Fin Barre's Cathedral @ Cork International Choral Festival 2019
St. Fin Barre’s Cathedral
Admission: Free of charge
The stunning history of St. Fin Barre’s Cathedral will come alive with an organ recital by Phoebe Tak Man Chow (Assistant Director of Music, St Fin Barre’s Cathedral). The organ, with 88 speaking stops and 4500 pipes, is the biggest in the Republic and the only one in the whole island of Ireland to be located in ‘a pit’. This fine example of historical restoration and new build can now be described as one of the truly great organs of Europe.
