This is a newly created role that will work closely with the rest of the orchestra’s senior management team to drive a fresh vision for the orchestra that will see it reposition itself as a key cultural and artistic asset for Wales; complementing its existing commitment to providing outstanding content for the BBC, primarily on BBC Radio 3.

In this new role it is crucial that the successful candidate has the resilience and tenacity to drive change as well as the vision to do things differently. BBC NOW has the potential to be an outstanding resource for both the BBC and for Wales, and in order to do so it needs to take bold steps, re-positioning itself to reflect the changing needs of our audiences and the market within which we are operating.
