Project Inclusion Vocal and String Fellowships

Project Inclusion Vocal and String Fellowships

Friday, 1 February 2019, 11.55pm

A partnership between Grant Park Music Festival and Chicago Sinfonietta, the Project Inclusion Fellowship Program is a unique paid training opportunity for singers and string players from diverse backgrounds traditionally underrepresented in the symphonic and symphonic choral field, such as African-American and Latino musicians. Project Inclusion aims to increase diversity among orchestral and choral ensembles and guide young musicians toward successful professional careers in music. Accepted Fellows will receive professional training and mentorship, performance opportunities with the Grant Park Orchestra & Chorus and in neighborhood chamber concerts throughout the city, as well as a generous stipend. Fellows will also have the opportunity to develop and strengthen public speaking and community engagement skills by working directly with GPMF’s Festival Connect program.
