Culture night starts early for the Galway Music Residency with a very special lunchtime event in conjunction with NUI Galway, its long term partner. Join the Galway ConTempo Quartet in the Quadrangle of NUI Galway, and explore the theme of 'time' on a charming art trail. Wander through the curious surrounds of the Geology corner and lose yourself in dramatic readings from university staff and students, music from ConTempo Quartet and NUI Galway staff choir and beautiful works from NUI Galway’s art collection. This free event begins at 1pm and is the perfect way to start culture night!

Culture Night continues with a series of pop-up events from ConTempo that evening. Galway’s own quartet will visit Galway Arts Centre (6pm), Shop Street (6:45pm) and the Blue Teapot Theatre (7:30pm) performing musical interludes, punctuating an exciting culture night programme running throughout the city.

Supported by NUI Galway, the Arts Council, Galway City and County Councils and GMIT, admission to these events are free, open to all and early arrival is recommended.
