Music Matters are recruiting

Some of you may be familiar with Music Matters? If not, perhaps you could check us out on musicmatters.ieand see our social links from there.

At the moment, we are registering musical directors, accompanists and substitute musical directors. This involves being on a list of staff contacts as a sub/MD/accompanist and getting involved with some of our community music projects and inclusive community choirs. Details can be sent on regarding terms and conditions, payment rates, information on choirs and their venues, etc.

We are currently running projects and choirs across Dublin and Kildare, and we are quickly expanding into new locations around Ireland. We are interested in forming links and collaborations with existing groups. And in establishing new groups under new musical directors.

Because our choirs and music projects involve working with children, young people and adults with special needs as well as older people, people with dementia, etc please note that all roles are subject to Garda vetting

We also require anyone wanting to be involved to have attended some rehearsals and met our musical directors, volunteers and choir members so that they are familiar with the systems we have put in place, choir members and the ethos of Music Matters, before being able to direct any rehearsals alone. This provides excellent opportunities for training and gaining experience.

If you’re interested in getting involved with Music Matters as a volunteer or as a paid musical director, substitute director or accompanist, please e mail your CV and a cover letter, a suitable individual photo and a one paragraph “blurb” on yourself for our website (to include your interests and qualifications and experience). This can be sent to grainne [at] musicmatters.ie () or please enquire by text or e-mail for a postal address. Phone or text Gráinne (director of Music Matters) on 087 9803020
