The legendary string quartet perform Steve Reich’s iconic work Different Trains

Steve Reich uses taped reminiscences from survivors of WWII and their profoundly contrasting war-time rail journeys – both in Europe and America – in his iconic work Different Trains played in this concetr by Kronos, the legendary string quartet who commissioned and premiered it nearly 30 years ago.

This bold and dazzling concert also includes a thrilling commission based on music from Mali, a new work by Martin Green from folk group Lau, music by Laurie Anderson and Terry Riley, and an arrangement of Pete Townshend’s (The Who) Baba O’Riley. Kronos – breaking boundaries with fresh ears!
