Join the new New School's Sing and Swing Jazz choir.Led by Melanie O'Reilly, a renowned jazz singer, conductor and teacher with many year's experience.This ensemble includes songs and arrangements hand- tailored to the abilities and interests of the group.The course will include songs from the Great American Songbook( Berlin, Carmichael, Ellington Gershwin ) and other later songwriters including Burt Bacharach, Cole Porter and Joni Mitchell.The choir will help with stage presence, rhythm skills and improvisation. Vocal and microphone technique will be explored. There will be a showcase concert at the end of each term,
