Fergus Johnston is a Dublin-based composer. His CD Ard Fhearta has just been released and is available in Tower Records, the National Concert Hall shop, and the Contemporary Music Centre.
Douglas Gunn specialises in early music and is perhaps best known for his work with the Douglas Gunn Ensemble. He has made a special study of music by Irish composers of the 17th and 18th centuries and has arranged, performed and recorded much of Carolan's music. He is also a composer.
Ronan Guilfoyle is a bass player, composer and Director of the Centre for Jazz Performance at DCU.

Steve McGrail was a singer, musician and writer from Scotland. He wrote several articles for The Journal of Music and was a great supporter of the magazine from its very first issue. Steve sadly died on 11 May 2016, aged 69.
Geoff Wallis is a freelance writer on music and travel and co-author of The Rough Guides to Irish music, Dublin and Ireland.
John Kenny teaches in the English Department, NUI Galway and has an active interest in Irish traditional music.
